Duties
* You will independently initiate, control, and terminate fuel transfers throughout the tank farm system.
* You will receive fueling/defueling requests from customers and prioritize, schedule operations, and prepare appropriate documentation and reports
* You will direct the loading and unloading of fuel aboard tankers, barges, and the transfer of fuel from one tank to another within the tank storage areas.
* You will operate pick-up trucks, vans, stake trucks, 5,000-gallon refueler trucks, tractor/trailer trucks, forklifts, farm tractors with attachments.
* You will perform operator-level preventative maintenance of fuel facilities. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Class A CDL With HAZMAT Certification
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

The Screen-out Element for this position is:
The ability to perform common tasks including experience controlling the distribution and storage of various grades of bulk petroleum products by assisting in controlling the operation of a multi-fuel storage and distribution system; receiving, storing, transferring or issuing liquid petroleum fuel products; operating pumps, set pipe lines and tank valves to receive or issue fuel; conduct gauging operations; perform miscellaneous hose handling or related docking duties;
inspecting receipt of product for quality and type; recording gauge readings; following guidance in a variety of manuals and directives relating to safe operations around a variety of fuel types; report the need for repairs of tanks, pipelines, facilities and equipment. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
