Position Overview We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across our McDonald's franchise portfolio. This is an hourly position offering competitive pay and excellent benefits, including use of a company work van. The ideal candidate is a reliable professional who can manage multiple service calls daily, respond to emergency situations, and work collaboratively with restaurant leadership while reporting to senior operations management.
Key Responsibilities HVAC Maintenance & Repair + Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems across multiple McDonald's locations + Ensure all heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment operates efficiently and meets manufacturer and safety standards + Respond to emergency HVAC failures promptly to minimize restaurant downtime and maintain customer and employee comfort + Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and equipment documentation Travel & Scheduling + Travel to multiple locations daily using the company-provided work van + Work a regular weekday schedule with weekend availability for emergencies only + Plan and prioritize daily service routes efficiently to maximize productivity Collaboration & Reporting + Work directly with two (2) Supervisors and General Managers (GMs) at each location to coordinate service needs and minimize operational disruption, as well as sharing information collected by our office staff, Office manager and secretary to monitor tasks and conduct follow ups.
+ Report to and obtain authorization and guidance from the Director of Operations (DO) and Owner/Operators of the franchise + Communicate equipment status, repair recommendations, and replacement needs clearly to leadership Compliance & Safety + Follow all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company policies while performing duties + Maintain a clean driving record and operate the company vehicle responsibly + Ensure all work meets local codes and McDonald's facility standards Qualifications Required + Valid HVAC certification and relevant technical training (EPA Section 608 certification required) + Proven experience in commercial HVAC repair and maintenance + Valid driver's license with a clean driving record + Ability to travel between multiple locations daily + Willingness to work weekdays and be on-call for weekend emergencies + Ability to pass a federal background check to obtain access credentials for operations within the U.S. Navy base + Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred + Experience servicing restaurant or food service environments + Familiarity with McDonald's equipment or QSR facility standards + Prior experience working on federal or military installations + Knowledge of refrigeration systems (a plus)
