Experienced Fire Alarm Service Test & Inspection Technician

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Test & Inspection Technician who is responsible for performing test & inspection on fire alarm systems including, but not limited to, the installation of Dyna Net, troubleshooting and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The Alarm technician is responsible for test & inspecting fire alarm systems in the most efficient manner to assure minimum downtime and maximum performance.
All inspections must meet the highest quality standards set forth by Dyna Fire, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Respond promptly to customers’ service related issues and effectively deal with customers, some of whom may require high levels of patience.
- Communicate the needs required to complete Dyna Fire’s scope of work to all parties responsible for portions affecting the timely completion of that scope.
- Test, troubleshoot, program fire alarm systems and document required to meet all applicable industry codes and standards.
- Effectively hand‑and computer‑program fire alarm panels commonly installed by Dyna Fire.
- Follow all Dyna Fire’s policies and procedures.
- Train and instruct the customer on the proper use of the equipment.
- Operate the following test equipment:
Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.
Training and Certification Requirements:
- Hold a two‑year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience. A working knowledge of computers, communications systems, and Microsoft Office is required, along with the ability to communicate via ISP for VPN connection. NICET Level II certification is required.
