Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Field Technician II
Full Time Technician/Analyst – Altamonte Springs, FL
Salary Range: $28.00 to $33.00 hourly

Using your experience, you will guide and lead daily field crew operations to assure comprehensive and accurate utility mapping.

Responsibilities- Master operation of SUE utility locating and designating equipment in complex utility infrastructure environments to accurately map all utilities within the project area
- Prepare detailed and accurate daily reports, forms, and field sketches, both electronically and by hand
- Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and train other crew members
- Represent and communicate on behalf of T2UE with clients, sub‑contractors, and third parties during field activities
- Maintain, clean, and operate vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies effectively
- Facilitate Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings
- Perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members
- Drive commercial motor vehicles (CDL not required)
- Set up proper traffic signage for safety
- Complete monthly equipment inventory for supervisor reorder
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience as a SUE Field Technician II
- Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans
- Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to secure client-required identity verification, such as TWIC and SWAC
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical (U.S. only)
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation (U.S. only)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in all climates
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, for up to 2 weeks continuous stay
- OSHA Safety certifications are a plus
- Must pass drug, background, and reference screening
