As part of our continued growth under the One Norlee platform, we are seeking a Commercial Electrician in the Fort Myers area.
Position SummaryThe Electrician in the Commercial division is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems for high-profile, technical, or custom commercial projects. This role requires precision, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with advanced electrical systems, and specialized equipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair electrical systems for specialty projects such as schools, and universities.
Pull, terminate, and test conductors, feeders, and branch circuits
Install conduit, panels, transformers, switch gear, lighting, and specialty equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, and technical specifications
Perform layout for feeders, branch circuits, and devices
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems as required
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and company standards
Maintain clean and organized work areas, respecting specialty project protocols
Coordinate with foremen, engineers, and other trades for seamless project execution
Assist with commissioning, testing, and quality inspections
Required Qualifications- Journeyman Electrician license (where required by jurisdiction)
- 1-3 years of commercial or specialty electrical experience
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and general electrical codes
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and schematics
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
- Experience with electrical systems, control panels, or custom technology integrations
- OSHA‑10 and OSHA‑30 certification
- Experience with commercial or specialty projects
- Familiarity with commissioning, testing, and quality assurance processes
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Safety-focused mindset and adherence to protocols
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Adaptable to non-standard and complex project environments
Work is primarily performed on construction sites or specialty project facilities. This may include industrial environments, active commercial buildings, or high-tech facilities requiring precision, safety protocols, and adherence to strict project standards. Physical labor, lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods is required.
