Maintenance Engineer-DoubleTree Jacksonville Airport

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance person who is highly motivated and detail oriented to join our team at the Doubletree by Hilton Jacksonville Airport as a Maintenance Engineer. The role involves performing a variety of maintenance trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work, and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program.

• Perform general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures and motors.
• Make repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains and sanitary systems.
• Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and windows, carpeting, etc.
• Perform general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Keep records as required by company policy and procedures. Maintain logs on completed tasks. Prepare and submit reports and logs as requested by supervisors in a timely manner.

• Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other household repairs.
• Engaging and welcoming personality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout the duration of shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
