Auto Body Technician
—primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer experience by assessing and repairing vehicle bodies to restore pre‑accident condition. Responsibilities include handling all stages of vehicle repair, meeting KPIs, and serving as brand ambassador.
- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
- Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when needed.
- Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Remove damaged sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts, including glass and windshields as needed.
- Replace or repair interior parts as required.
- Weld and attach or fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint or agreed‑upon equivalent.
- Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines; inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
- Read job orders and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with other repairers within an auto body shop.
- Understand methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
- Understand how to use tools required for the trade.
- Work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
- Lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
- Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

$23 – $32 per hour (flat rate)
Flat rate compensation is performance‑based and tied to turned hours. Supplemental pay may include bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives. Compensation is commensurate with skill, education, and experience.
