Pipe Welder – Jacksonville, FL Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and set up a variety of welding machines and handheld tools daily.
• Obtain certifications for GTAW welding on multiple metals (CUNI, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Aluminum) with various fit‑up requirements (Buttweld/Socket Weld) in positions (6G/6G restricted, 4F, 5F).
• Perform GTAW welding using a hand remote in various settings/positions in the shop and on vessels.
• Conduct pre-visual NDT inspections prior to completion to minimize rework.
• Assist teammates with other tasks when not welding.
• Work various shifts (1st 6:00 am–4:30 pm, 2nd 4:00 pm–2:30 am) and weekends as needed.

• High School Diploma, GED, or 3 years shipyard/marine experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding symbols.
• Proficient in wearing appropriate PPE.
• Physically capable of performing essential job duties, with or without accommodations.
• Capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and climbing ladders and stairs of varying sizes.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) access card.
• Good reading, writing, and comprehension of simple instructions.
• Able to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Know how to measure using a scale and tape measure.
• Pass medical fit‑for‑duty exam including pulmonary function and vision screening.

• Additional shipyard or marine experience beyond the basic requirement.

Full‑time salary range: $44,720–$78,520. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance;
