Performs a wide variety of skilled tasks involved in the maintenance and repair of facility heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and systems. Additionally, this person will provide assistance with the maintenance and repairs of the buildings Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems. The individual may work independently or as part of a team to accomplish department objectives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D required. Accredited HVAC/R trade school is preferred.
- 3 years work experience as an HVAC/R technician in a commercial environment or 5 years experience maintaining and repairing building HVAC/R equipment and systems.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Ability to be on the department on‑call schedule.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends per department schedule.
- Experience with Chilled Water (CW) and Heating Hot Water (HHW) systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret building schematics.
- Ability to measure, record, and interpret various test results (e.g., airflow measurements, water flow measurements, temperature, humidity).
- Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
EPA 608 Technician Certification – Universal is required.
Compensation Detail$25.87 - $38.05 per hour, based on education, experience and tenure; internal equity also considered.
Schedule- Full Time
- 80 hours per pay period
- First shift position Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Weekend work required every 8–9 weeks.
- No international assignment.
