Job Description

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership for workers in order to complete jobs within specific guidelines that include quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations.

Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools of the electrical trade.
  • Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work.
  • Ability to supervise the work of skilled workers.
  • Considerable knowledge of the National Electrical Code for electrical installations.
  • Ability to interpret and work from instructions, penciled plans and sketches, and blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with superiors and subordinates.
  • Ability to estimate materials and labor costs.
  • Skill in the use and care of all hand and shop tools and equipment of the electrician's trade.
  • Multi-family experience is a huge plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team, evaluating employees' progress, training new team members, attending meetings, identifying conflicts, and resolving problems.
  • Organize and plan construction projects, direct work, inspect installations for quality, ensure code standards and job safety are met.
