The Facilities Technician I position is an entry‑level maintenance role where you’ll use your mechanical instincts, learn new skills, and work with building systems that keep the entire facility running. You’ll stay active, work with your hands, and build real experience that can grow into a long‑term maintenance or technician career.

Schedule: M-F 8am-4 pm

Pay: $23.42/hr

Start: ASAP

• Monitor the facility regularly to ensure it remains safe, secure, and well‑maintained.
• Troubleshoot power systems, HVAC systems and controls, and other mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform general and preventative maintenance on building systems, including basic carpentry and plumbing tasks.
• Coordinate and support vendor activities related to facility maintenance and repairs.
• Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed to maintain proper illumination throughout the facility.
• Move and reposition office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while working in the warehouse environment.

• 0–2 years of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing facility, preferably in general labor, general production, or facilities maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify maintenance issues and resolve them promptly.
• Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks.
• Problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot facility, mechanical, and basic electrical issues.

• Experience supporting facilities maintenance in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Comfort working with HVAC, power, and mechanical systems under guidance or supervision.
• Ability to perform basic carpentry and plumbing tasks as part of general maintenance.
• Willingness to perform physically active work, including lifting, moving, and carrying equipment and materials.
• Reliability and consistency in following safety procedures and facility guidelines.

This position is based in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environment. You will work on‑site during first shift, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role is physically active and involves moving through the facility, working with tools and equipment, and handling furniture, machinery, and other materials. The environment includes typical warehouse conditions such as variable temperatures and exposure to noise from equipment and operations, and you will follow standard safety practices appropriate to an industrial warehouse setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $23.42 - $23.42/hr.
