HVAC PM Person (BUMED) - JLL

What this job involves:

The HVAC PM Person performs critical preventive and general maintenance on air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment at NAS Jacksonville. This hands-on role ensures optimal performance of HVAC systems through regular inspections, adjustments, minor repairs, and comprehensive equipment monitoring. You will be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, identifying deficiencies, performing corrosion control, and supporting HVAC Mechanics as needed. This position requires an EPA-certified professional who can work independently across multiple trades to keep essential climate control systems running smoothly for our clients.

What your day-to-day will look like:

* Check with area personnel for equipment deficiencies and inspect units for water/fluid leaks, noise, and vibration

* Perform minor repairs including motor replacement, filter changes, oil and lubrication of machinery and fan bearings, and corrosion control

* Monitor belt tension, condition, and alignment; adjust or replace as necessary

* Clean evaporator coils, drain pans, blowers, fans, motors, and drainpipes to maintain system efficiency

* Take and record equipment readings using appropriate gauges (temperature, pressure, electrical readings) and complete required forms and paperwork

* Check refrigerant pressure during unit operation and add refrigerant as necessary using EPA-certified practices

* Perform incidental building repairs in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work related to equipment maintenance

Required Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Two years of prior experience in general maintenance

* Universal EPA Certification (40 CFR Part 82, Subpart

F)

* Valid Driver's License

* Ability to use hand and power tools

* Practical skills and knowledge in painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work

* Ability to work second shift on Saturday and Sunday, and third shift Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in military or government facility environments

* Familiarity with HVAC system documentation and compliance requirements

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

* Effective communication skills for coordinating with area personnel

Location:

NAS Jacksonville (Onsite)

Schedule:

Full-time, Second shift on Saturday to Sunday, Third shift Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Compensation: $35.18 per hour + shift differential + up to $13.32 per hour H&W

FLSA Status: SCA/Non-Exempt
