Responsibilities- Assist the Service, Installation, and Warehouse teams by furnishing tools, materials, and supplies; maintaining a clean work area; and holding materials or tools for other workers.
- Assist with the shipping and receiving of materials, staging, and inventory.
- Recognize, handle, and properly use basic tools and materials.
- Examine and test machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts for defects to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with the assembly of gang boxes and job materials for projects.
- Assist with the positioning of vehicles, machinery, equipment, and other objects for assembly, installation, and/or service.
- Assist with maintenance and general repairs.
- Be able to visit job sites as needed to deliver and exchange parts, tools, or equipment.
- Follow safe work practices, including proper use of PPE.
- Understand temperature and pressure charts and be able to record readings.
Formal Education Requirement:
Required Level: High School or GED
Minimum Years of
Experience:
Zero to five years
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record in accordance with the Fleet Policy.
- Must be physically able to walk distances, bench and crouch, climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift or carry objects up to fifty pounds repetitively for extended periods.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented, and highly motivated.
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as required.
- Strong leadership and business acumen.
- Superior decision‑making ability and paperwork skills.
- Working knowledge of basic refrigeration and/or knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC is preferred.
