Keep Jacksonville’s Fleets Moving—One Truck at a Time

Do you take pride in keeping trucks safe, reliable, and ready for work? Cumberland Idealease is looking for a Mobile Technician who enjoys working independently in the field while staying connected to a strong service team.

In this role, you’ll support lease and rental customers throughout the Jacksonville market by performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You’ll represent the Idealease brand at customer locations with professionalism, consistency, and care—doing the job right the first time.

This is a great opportunity for a technician who values hands‑on work, problem‑solving, customer interaction, and long‑term career growth.

What You’ll Do

As a Mobile Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping customer fleets and rental units operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance
Complete PM services on Class 6–8 trucks following Idealease standards, customer requirements, and safety guidelines.
  • Diagnose & Repair Trucks
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, drivability, and emissions systems.
  • Support Customer Fleets in the Field
Provide mobile service to assigned lease and rental customers throughout the Orlando area.
  • Conduct Inspections
Perform DOT inspections, safety checks, and follow‑up repairs to keep units compliant and road‑ready.
  • Document Work Accurately
Record labor, parts used, inspection results, and repair recommendations using company systems.
  • Communicate Clearly
Keep the service and parts teams informed on job status, parts needs, customer concerns, and next steps.
  • Coordinate Parts & Repairs
Work closely with the parts department to source components, manage returns, and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain Your Service Vehicle & Tools
Keep the mobile service truck organized, stocked, clean, and ready for daily operations.
  • Deliver a Positive Customer Experience
Represent Cumberland Idealease professionally at every customer site through reliability, respect, and follow‑through.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of experience servicing Class 6–8 trucks or comparable heavy‑duty equipment
  • Ability to perform PMs, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in a mobile service environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, brake, suspension, drivetrain, and emissions systems
  • Customer‑focused mindset with solid communication and follow‑up skills
  • Ability to manage work orders and document repairs clearly and accurately
  • Experience with digital repair or fleet systems (IBS, Decisiv, or similar platforms preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license required
