Facilities Maintenance Technician - Lake , FL

Overview

Walsh Infrastructure Management LLC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for the FDOT Rest Areas in District2, Lake City, FL. The Technician will perform physical labor on sites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects, operate hand and power tools, and assist with site preparation tasks.

• Perform tasks involving physical labor as instructed by supervisor.
• Work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills and hammers.
• Clean and prepare sites as needed, erect scaffolding, remove debris, dispose waste, and dig trenches.
• Load and unload supplies at the worksite manually and with equipment.

• One year of verifiable construction experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Effective communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be required to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening.

Base pay is dependent upon training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demand. This role may also be eligible for a bonus and other benefits.
