Position OverviewLoyal Source is seeking a skilled Installation Technician in the Jacksonville, Florida area to install, troubleshoot, and service commercial security, fire, and integrated low‑voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with fire alarm systems, intrusion systems, and basic IP networking concepts for camera installations. This role requires a customer-focused professional who can work independently while maintaining quality workmanship and ensuring project completion within established timelines.
Pay
: $33 / hour
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial security and low‑voltage systems.
- Install and service fire alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, CCTV/video surveillance systems, access control systems, and intercom systems.
- Conduct system testing, inspections, signal verification, and functionality checks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Complete service reports, installation documentation, and timekeeping records accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure efficient project execution and completion.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and national codes and company safety standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Loyal Source professionally.
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical training.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in low‑voltage, security, fire alarm.
- Strong background in intrusion is required.
- Must have basic networking knowledge for IP camera systems.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work above ceilings, in attics, crawl spaces, and on elevated platforms as required.
- Lift, carry, and move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to distinguish colors and utilize close, distance, and peripheral vision while performing installations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional on‑call responsibilities and travel as needed.
