Overview
Walsh Infrastructure Management LLC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for the FDOT Rest Areas in District 2, in Lake City, FL. The Technician will perform physical labor on construction job sites, including commercial, industrial, or heavy‑civil projects; operate hand and/or power tools as needed; prepare sites; and assist with other assigned duties.
Responsibilities- Perform tasks that involve physical labor as instructed by the supervisor.
- Work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management.
- Clean and prepare sites, including erecting scaffolding, removing and disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.
- Load and unload supplies at the worksite manually and with equipment.
- 1 year of verifiable construction experience preferred.
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance on a ladder.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co‑workers and supervisors.
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
- Good manual dexterity; able to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
