ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN II

The Florida Department of Military Affairs is seeking an Electronic Technician II. This position is located in Starke, FL. The mission of the Florida Department of Military Affairs is to provide management oversight of the Florida National Guard and provide units and personnel ready to support national security objectives; to protect the public safety of citizens and to contribute to the national, state and community programs that add value to the United States of America and to the State of Florida.

As a candidate, you are required to provide documentation to verify meeting these minimum qualifications. Must be able to obtain a completion of a favorable National Agency Check background investigation clearance. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; and two (2) years of professional, full-time-equivalent experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment.

Duties and responsibilities include inspections, testing, diagnosing, installing, repairing, replacing, servicing, modifying, altering, range operation support, and identifying safety issues with range layouts, target and range scenarios for all automated ranges, automated target and related range IT systems, Sound Effects Simulators (SES), and Battlefield Effects Simulator (BES) components.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include knowledge of the procedures, techniques, equipment, and tools used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment; knowledge of electronic equipment components and design requirements; skill in using specialized tools and equipment to install, maintain and repair electronic equipment; ability to identify and repair electronic malfunctions in electronic equipment; ability to understand and follow technical instructions relating to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment;

ability to work independently; ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; and ability to communicate effectively.
