Aircraft Mechanic II
S&K Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II to perform organizational-level scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on P-8A aircraft at NAS Jacksonville, FL. The position performs troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, component replacement, maintenance documentation, and flight-line support.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, remove, and install aircraft systems and components
- Interpret technical publications, schematics, drawings, and maintenance instructions
- Perform operational checks and assist with aircraft inspections
- Document maintenance actions in NALCOMIS/OOMA and required aircraft records
- Support aircraft launches, recoveries, servicing, towing, jacking, and movement
- Lead maintenance tasks or inspect work when qualified and designated
- Comply with NAMP, safety, quality, tool-control, and FOD-prevention requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience Working knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection procedures Ability to interpret aircraft technical data and use required tools and test equipment Ability to work independently with limited supervision Must be a U.S. citizen Must possess and maintain a current Top Secret security clearance Must be willing to travel when required Must have a valid state driver's license when required by job assignment Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver's license if required
Preferred Qualifications:
P-8, P-3, 737, or comparable military aircraft experience NAMP, NALCOMIS, OOMA experience Plane Captain, CDI, CDQAR, ordnance, or aircraft-turn qualifications
