Electronic Technician Maintenance III

This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems.
You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturers
- Recommending solutions to design problems.
- Performing system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance.
- Performing other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have as a minimum, eight years hands-on experience in the field of electronics.
- Must have or be able to obtain IAT Level 1 certification within 9 months of hire.
- Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship-training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school.
- Previous Intrusion Detection System experience desired.
- Working knowledge of the multiple systems to include:
- AMAG alarm monitoring and access control systems
- DMP alarm monitor and reporting systems
- FLIR RADARs and cameras
- Genetec NVRs
- Pelco cameras, DVRs, and video switchers
- Networking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivity
- Windows Servers
- Cisco Switches
- Fiber communication equipment
- WAVES MNS
- MS Server, Windows, and/or Tower Climber certifications a plus but not required
This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position.
