We are seeking an experienced
** Commercial/Industrial Electrician
** to support electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair operations at a large manufacturing facility in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working in commercial or industrial environments and be comfortable troubleshooting electrical systems in an active manufacturing setting.

This position will play an important role in maintaining the reliability and safety of facility electrical systems, production equipment, machinery, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Perform electrical work on production machinery, motors, controls, panels, lighting, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using electrical test equipment and appropriate troubleshooting techniques.
  • Install and terminate conduit, wire, cable, disconnects, junction boxes, panels, and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, motor controls, contractors, relays, sensors, switches, and control circuits.
  • Assist with electrical installations, equipment upgrades, plant modifications, and new equipment startups.
  • Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Work with maintenance and production teams to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, electrical codes, and OSHA requirements.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and equipment conditions as required.
  • Respond to electrical emergencies and equipment breakdowns as needed.
  • Perform other electrical and maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum
    ** 3–5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
    ** preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and control systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, motors, motor controls, and control circuits.
  • Experience with conduit installation, wire pulling, terminations, and electrical equipment installation.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and megohmmeters.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and safe electrical work practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively with maintenance and production teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays when required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical Journeyman License or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience in a large-scale manufacturing, food & beverage, packaging, bottling, or processing facility.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, industrial controls, and automation systems.
  • Experience working with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience with industrial instrumentation or process control systems.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, and other equipment as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to work in areas that may involve noise, heat, humidity, dust, machinery, and varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hat, and other protective equipment.
Safety & Work Environment

Safety is a top priority in this role. The Electrician will be expected to consistently follow established safety procedures, including
** Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safe-work practices, PPE requirements, and facility-specific safety policies.

The successful candidate will work alongside maintenance, engineering, production, and other facility personnel to ensure electrical systems and production equipment remain safe, reliable, and operational.
