Job Description Position Summary
Resicum International LLC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III – Powerplant to support C/KC-130T Hercules aircraft maintenance operations at NAS Jacksonville, Florida, with the capability to rapidly deploy to operational Government locations worldwide.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
The Aircraft Mechanic III – Powerplant is a senior-level aircraft maintenance technician and team leader responsible for performing, supervising, troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, modifying, and testing complex aircraft powerplant systems.
The position provides technical leadership in the maintenance of C-130/KC-130 series aircraft and T56 turboprop engines
, including engine systems, fuel systems, oil systems, propeller and propeller control systems, engine accessories, pneumatic systems, and associated aircraft powerplant components.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead teams performing C/KC-130T powerplant maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Perform, supervise, and inspect maintenance accomplished by Aircraft Mechanic I and II personnel.
- Perform complex maintenance on T56-series turboprop engines and associated aircraft powerplant systems, as applicable to the assigned C/KC-130T configuration.
- Troubleshoot, remove, install, repair, replace, and modify aircraft engines and associated powerplant components.
- Troubleshoot and maintain engine fuel, oil, lubrication, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and accessory systems.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of propeller and propeller control systems, including associated components and controls.
- Diagnose engine and powerplant malfunctions using aircraft technical publications, maintenance documentation, schematics, test equipment, and systematic troubleshooting procedures.
- Perform and supervise engine inspections, component inspections, operational checks, functional checks, and post-maintenance testing.
- Support engine removal and installation operations and associated aircraft maintenance activities.
- Perform maintenance on engine accessories and associated components in accordance with applicable technical publications.
- Troubleshoot engine indications and system discrepancies, including abnormal operating conditions and component-related malfunctions.
- Conduct required measurements, adjustments, rigging, torque procedures, and inspections using aircraft-specific precision tools and test equipment.
- Interpret and apply C-130/KC-130 technical orders, maintenance manuals, inspection requirements, engineering instructions, schematics, drawings, and other approved technical publications.
- Identify component deterioration, damage, abnormal wear, leaks, and other conditions affecting powerplant reliability and aircraft airworthiness.
- Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, phase inspections, aircraft recovery, modification programs, and depot/field-level maintenance activities, as applicable.
- Provide technical support for Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD), Technical Directives, modifications, and engineering investigations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lower-level powerplant technicians.
- Inspect completed maintenance to ensure workmanship and technical requirements are met.
- Coordinate powerplant maintenance activities with Quality Assurance, Maintenance Control, Production Control, Engineering, Supply, and Government representatives.
- Make required entries in aircraft forms, engine records, logbooks, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure proper accountability and use of Government-furnished tools, equipment, test equipment, and support equipment.
- Identify maintenance delays, recurring discrepancies, parts requirements, and technical problems and communicate them to maintenance leadership.
