HVAC Residential Install

Florida Home Air Conditioning is seeking an HVAC Residential Install technician to join our Jacksonville team. In this field-based role, you'll install residential HVAC systems, ductwork, thermostats, and indoor air quality products in single-family homes. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, sizing and routing duct, brazing and wiring equipment, pressure testing, and verifying system performance and airflow. You will interact directly with homeowners, explain work performed, and ensure a clean, safe jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Install residential HVAC equipment, ductwork, and accessories per specifications and codes
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and job plans
• Braise, flare, and connect refrigerant lines; perform basic low-voltage wiring
• Pressure test, evacuate, and charge systems; verify performance and airflow
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with local mechanical and electrical codes
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure job sites and company vehicle
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, explaining work and system operation
• Document work performed and materials used using company procedures
• Collaborate with dispatch, sales, and service teams to complete jobs efficiently
• Identify opportunities for system improvements or add-on products for customers
