Florida Home Air Conditioning, a leading residential HVAC contractor in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Residential HVAC Lead Installation Tech. In this role, you'll lead installation of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps, condensers, and ductwork. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, staging and installing equipment, brazing and wiring, start-up and commissioning, and ensuring code compliance and safety. You'll mentor junior installers, interface professionally with homeowners, explain system operation, document work, and ensure high-quality, efficient installations that meet company standards for comfort, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead installation of residential HVAC systems and ductwork
- Read and interpret blueprints, job plans, and wiring diagrams
- Perform equipment setting, brazing, wiring, and system start-up
- Commission systems, verify performance, and ensure code compliance
- Maintain strict safety standards and proper use of PPETrain and mentor junior installers and helpers on best practices
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and explain system operation
- Document work performed and complete required paperwork or digital forms
- Coordinate with dispatch and supervisors to meet project timelines
- Maintain tools, company vehicle, and a clean, organized job site
