The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling plant equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting overall equipment performance. Success requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

- Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and gas-powered system issues.
- Conduct small engine repairs and general equipment servicing.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Maintain and repair conveyor systems and heavy machinery.
- Complete required documentation and recordkeeping for maintenance activities.
- Follow and adhere to Lockout/Tagout and confined space safety procedures.

, and capable of diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently. This individual is proactive, reliable, and committed to maintaining equipment performance and supporting plant operations.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment and mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of gas, diesel, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to analyze equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and listening skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
