Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (No Weekend Shop Hours!)

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 / Year (Top Pay Based on Experience)

Put your decades of hands‑on diagnostic expertise to work in a clean, professional, fast‑paced setting—guiding caller diagnostics and making high‑level calls without the daily physical wear and tear.

We are looking for a sharp, aggressive problem‑solver who speaks the language of transmissions inside and out. If you can diagnose a transmission blindfolded, we want you ON OUR TEAM TODAY.

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS This is NOT an entry‑level service writer position. We need a real technical expert who can hit the ground running immediately.

• MUST HAVE DEEP TRANSMISSION REPAIR KNOWLEDGE:
  You must have 3+ years of hands‑on experience repairing, rebuilding, or servicing transmissions. If you are or were a Transmission Master Mechanic, you jump to the front of the line!
• MUST KNOW DIAGNOSTIC & TRANSMISSION CODES:
  You must be an absolute expert at reading, interpreting, and troubleshooting Transmission Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), engine codes, live data, and electrical issues for BOTH GAS & DIESEL automotive applications.
• DIAGNOSTIC MASTERY:
  You need the capability to listen to a symptom or look at a code and immediately visualize what is failing inside the unit.

• Technical Phone Diagnostics & Advisory: Guide callers, technicians, and customers through complex mechanical and electronic transmission diagnostics over the phone.
• DTC & Code Analysis: Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), engine parameters, and symptom reports for both gas and diesel automotive transmission systems.
• Warranty Claims Adjudication: Evaluate, process, and approve or decline warranty claims in accordance with company coverage policies and guidelines.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Assist shop technicians and field service teams with detailed repair procedures, fluid specification checks, and component failure analyses.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Accurately log diagnostic notes, technical findings, repair estimates, labor rates, and claim details in the warranty management system.
• Parts & Repair Authorization: Review proposed repair orders, verify correct replacement parts/units, and authorize labor times for approved transmission rebuilds or replacements.
• Vendor & Customer Relations: Maintain clear, professional communication between customers, repair facilities, and internal team members to ensure smooth, timely resolutions.
• Recall & Technical Bulletin Tracking: Stay up to date on technical service bulletins (TSBs), common failure trends, and transmission engineering updates.
