Eco Camp Counselors will lead groups of campers 6-13 around the Wildlife Sanctuary, introducing them to local flora and fauna, playing games, swimming, canoeing and going on field trips. This will involve getting wet and dirty in the hot, buggy summer!
Responsibilities- Work with campers 6-13
- Design and create games and activities
- Sign children in and out before and after camp
- Perform office duties
- Implement safety during camp
- Find solutions to minor problems and medical issues
Must be CPR & First Aid Certified. For those without certification, the position will provide CPR & first aid class upon hiring. Must be willing and able to work outside in various weather conditions, such as rain or heat.
Preferred Qualifications- Creativity and independence in creating and leading games and activities
- Knowledge of local flora and fauna
- Independent decision-making
- Ability to work with multiple personalities
This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University’s policy, this position may also require a credit check. The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to Title IX and must promptly report any allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, or child sexual abuse to the Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.
