Role Description

This is a part‑time, on‑site role for a Victim Services Practitioner located in Jacksonville, FL. The practitioner will provide advocacy and direct services to crime victims, including coordinating resources, guiding them through legal processes, and offering emotional support.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, organizing support groups, facilitating crisis intervention, and collaborating with law enforcement and community partners to meet client needs.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge and skills in advocacy, crisis intervention, and trauma‑informed care
  • Proficiency in communication, active listening, and interpersonal relationship building
  • Organizational skills for managing documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating services
  • Familiarity with the criminal justice system and victim rights is highly beneficial
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with law enforcement, legal professionals, and community organizations
  • Empathy, discretion, and cultural competency in assisting individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Criminal Justice is preferred
  • Experience working with crime victims or in a related field is a plus
