For over 30 years, Community Rehabilitation Center (CRC) has proudly served Jacksonville by providing culturally competent mental health and wellness services to minority populations. Our programs address substance abuse, HIV care, and primary healthcare, improving quality of life through compassionate and comprehensive care.
Matrix House is a secure, in-jail treatment program for individuals serving jail sentences with substance abuse or dependency issues. The program offers four months of intensive treatment followed by 12 months of aftercare, including counseling, education, support groups, and referrals to community resources.
The Court Liaison acts as a vital bridge between the Duval County Court system and the Matrix House Treatment Program by managing education and screening requirements and facilitating client referrals.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Attending Duval County Court on weekdays to coordinate client referrals to the Matrix House Treatment Program.
- Managing the application process for addicted offenders appearing in court.
- Reporting referral acceptance or rejection to the courts in a timely manner.
- Educating judges, attorneys, and court personnel about addiction, recovery, and the treatment process.
- Maintaining daily communication with Court Admissions to track inmate status regarding the program.
- Participating in weekly court staff meetings for diversion programs, including Veterans and Drug Court.
- Collaborating with Education Specialists to identify, screen, and refer addicted offenders.
- Working closely with court staff, including judges, attorneys, and officers, to support program goals.
- Providing open and clear communication with all court-related stakeholders and program partners.
- Delivering culturally competent services aligned with Matrix policies and practices.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of all services as per state regulations, accreditation standards, and CRC policies.
- Fostering an environment of dignity and respect for clients and coworkers.
- Engaging in internal training and Quality Improvement programs.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Experience working in court or criminal justice settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of addiction and recovery concepts is a plus.
- Must be able to provide culturally competent services.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and work with professionalism.
