Job Summary

This is a professional work responsible for reviewing actions completed by Economic Specialist I (ESI). The primary duty of the incumbent is to spend the majority of time communicating with, motivating, training, and mentoring employees. The incumbent must have detailed knowledge of eligibility processes, procedures, and applicable computer systems used in determining public assistance eligibility, monitoring, and measuring performance.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and conduct quality reviews of case records in accordance with the Quality Management System Plan and operating procedures, discuss findings, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Resolve issues from internal and external customers, analyze performance data, and complete associated reports.
  • Assist with operational planning, performance reviews, and ensure compliance with personnel, fiscal, and administrative rules.
  • Provide training to employees, review policies, and coordinate implementation of directives.
  • Support the lobby supervisor as needed, assistance with complex case problems and customer service.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by participating in conferences, staff meetings and training.
  • Perform special work assignments and other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Preferred:
    One or more years of experience determining eligibility for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance.
  • Must be able to communicate, motivate, train, and mentor employees.
  • Knowledge of eligibility processes and public assistance computer systems.

  • Data analysis and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and direct personnel.
