Role DescriptionThe Bilingual Social Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in Jacksonville, FL. This role involves providing direct social services to individuals and families, including assessments, case management, crisis intervention, and referrals to community resources. The Social Worker will conduct client interviews, develop and monitor service plans, and coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure appropriate support. The position requires regular documentation of client interactions, maintaining accurate records in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
The Bilingual Social Worker will also advocate for clients’ needs, facilitate access to food assistance and related programs, and participate in outreach, education, and collaboration with community partners.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and another language (Spanish preferred) to serve diverse client populations.
- Demonstrated skills in client assessment, case management, and crisis intervention within social services or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities when working with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed, confidential records and using digital case management or documentation systems.
- Knowledge of community resources, public assistance programs, and family support services, ideally within food assistance or human services environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field; relevant licensure or certification is preferred where applicable.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and trauma-informed, client-centered service delivery.
- Ability to work on-site in Jacksonville, FL, manage multiple cases, and adapt to changing client and program needs.
