Program Specialist; EHE Rural Health and Disaster Preparedness

The Program Specialist (EHE Rural Health and Disaster Preparedness), for the Center for Global Health Practice and Impact at the Georgetown University Medical Center will develop and support policy-informed technical assistance (TA) to participating EHE Part A and Part B jurisdictions at local, state, and territorial health departments. Guided by a thorough understanding of specific implementation challenges, the Program Specialist will manage the coordination of activities and the development of TA resources to translate policy insights on rural HIV service delivery and disaster preparedness research into actionable program implementation strategies that enhance program outcomes.

• Develop and implement policy-related enhancements for the Georgetown University – Technical Assistance Provider (GU-TAP) program.
• Direct TA staff in the resolution of challenges affecting HIV service delivery in rural communities.
• Monitor and support jurisdictions vulnerable to natural and man-made disasters by developing resources that strengthen continuity of HIV services during emergencies.
• Work collaboratively within the GU-TAP structure to ensure that policy insights permanently inform ongoing TA activities.

The Program Specialist will report to the ADVANCE Project Director and work closely with the GU-TAP’s Core Team and TA providers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and jurisdictional partners.

• Doctor of Medicine
• MS in Global Health or related field
• 4 or more years of related experience including supervisory experience
• Expertise in analyzing TA outcomes related to HIV service delivery
• Experience providing administrative and documentation support for domestic, federally-funded grants and contracts.

The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $68.04 - $83.16. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
