Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering the UI Software Engineer III is responsible for developing, maintaining, and migrating our Onboarding applications and services. You will be focused on continuing to build on the core set of solutions as well as assisting in the migration efforts of new and existing software solutions to the cloud. You will work closely with product owners and the software engineering Tech Lead to help execute on the team’s engineering efforts.
We anticipate this role being ~80% hands on development with ~20% mentoring of junior developers.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within the healthcare industry and experience delivering AWS solutions to the cloud. We are looking for a hands-on engineer that is comfortable working in the guts of the code and mentoring and guiding upcoming engineers. You’ll be empowered and encouraged to bring forth new ideas that further empower the system’s analytical capabilities while showcasing your passion for designing and developing complex backend systems that are able to evolve over time.

** Role qualifications:
*** Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering. This is required to be considered for the role.
* 5+ years’ experience as a full-time Software Engineer.
* Strong knowledge of software engineering with a focus on full‑stack development across backend and frontend systems.
* Experience in React, Typescript, and Material UI. This is required to be considered for the role.
* Experience collaborating within a large, distributed, platform enterprise environment
* Proficiency in Java/REST.
* Experience with Gradle.
* Experience in object-oriented (OO) and functional design principles.
* Experience with SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Postgres and Oracle.
* Experience with containerized and serverless development in AWS (or equivalent major cloud providers).
* Experience with git, gitlab or similar source code management tools.
* You are a curious, self-motivated engineering leader who looks for opportunities to improve current processes and practices.
* Strong ability to drive outcomes and clarity when faced with ambiguity
