Analytics R/Stored Procedure Developer – HYBRID (JACKSONVILLE, FL)

ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Python Developer! This position is a 12‑month contract with the potential to extend longer or convert to full time. The role is hybrid, with a couple of days per week onsite in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsible for development, programming, and coding of IT solutions using R/Python to support customer experience applications. Responsible for system documentation, unit tests, peer code reviews, and maintenance of internally developed applications. Responsible for evaluation and performance testing of purchased products and inclusion of IT controls to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and data.

• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, documentation protocol, and change management procedures.
• In‑depth understanding of the systems development life cycle.
• Database knowledge in SQL, DB2/Netezza, or SQL Server.
• Development, programming, and coding of IT solutions using Python.
• Documentation of the system, unit tests, peer code reviews, and maintenance of internally developed applications; evaluation and performance testing of purchased products.
• Inclusion of IT controls to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the application and data.
• Excellent understanding of RESTful architecture style.
• Ability to evaluate libraries with pros and cons to meet business/technical requirements.
• Excellent understanding of R and Python programming mode and required libraries.
• Demonstrated experience working with REST APIs using Python.
• Demonstrated experience processing batch files using Python.
• Demonstrated experience developing scheduling of batch processes.
• Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio.
• High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions consistent with business objectives and strategy.

• 3+ years related work experience; professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry.
• 3+ years’ experience with R and SQL/Stored Procedures.

• HS Diploma or GED.
