Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst – an intermediate level position responsible for the design, development, and deployment of application systems and programs within Citi’s Enterprise Operations & Technology teams.
Responsibilities- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and identify system enhancements for new products and process improvements.
- Resolve high‑impact problems and projects through in‑depth evaluation of complex business processes, system workflows, and industry standards.
- Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design aligns with the overall architecture blueprint.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow to develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how business areas such as architecture and infrastructure integrate to accomplish business goals.
- Provide in‑depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and formulate innovative solutions.
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid‑level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
- Assess risk when making business decisions, safeguarding Citi’s reputation and assets, applying compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and reporting control issues with transparency.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis.
- Expertise in Python, Full‑Stack (REST APIs, microservices architecture), LLM frameworks & APIs, Prompt Engineering, Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code/Cursor, Devin.
AI/Antigravity, Microservices + API Design, and Sonar Qube/code review. - Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of applications such as Oracle, Java, JavaScript, React, and Angular.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Subject matter expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
- Demonstrated leadership and project‑management skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Bachelor’s degree, university degree, or equivalent experience.
