PositionResponsibilities
Design robust, high‑performance solutions across systems and services; serve as a key technical contributor on critical property & casualty insurance claim projects; act as a resource for others by sharing deep technical knowledge (without formal leadership duties); evaluate and advocate for improvements in architecture, standards, and processes; collaborate with stakeholders to align technical implementation with business needs; create proof of concepts;
enforce coding and security best practices; work within SAFe.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred). Guidewire Claim Center experience required. Minimum 8 years of development experience, at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity. Expert in full SDLC, bottleneck identification, software design patterns, architectural principles, scalable system design. Familiar with auto insurance, commercial and personal lines (bonus). Expertise in design patterns, CI/CD, containerization, unit/integration testing, version control (Git), RESTful APIs, microservices, AI Prompt/Agentic Engineering, monitoring and logging (App Dynamics, Splunk), Java, Gosu, Kotlin, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Type Script, Spring Boot, EKS/ECS, SQL, secure coding practices, cloud‑native architecture, AWS services, Maven/Gradle, Angular/React/Vue, Webpack/NPM, Guidewire Insurance Suite modules (Claim Center, Policy Center, Billing Center), PCF, message queues, business rules, database model, assignment rules, integrations via REST APIs and messaging, troubleshooting, Guidewire Profiler.
Guidewire Cloud Insurance Suite Professional Developer certification preferred but not required.
