-based company that is developing world-class financial technology and financial services is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of helping the team by resolving the most complex and extensive technical issues. The company specializes in robo-advice and micro-investing and enables users to invest in spare change, and bank accounts, and earn bonuses. The company has managed to secure more than $508mn+ during their Series F round of funding.
This position requires some overlap with the PST time zone.

It is a mix of data engineer and developer. The client wants someone who has worked in an engineering role and just not a data engineer.
Dev who is based out of Brazil who has worked on Python, Scala and Databricks (Data Engineering concepts) along with experience as a developer.
Job Responsibilities:- Promote enhancements to product performance, security, and quality that will especially benefit your team and others
- Encourage creativity within the group by being open to trying new things and taking on challenges with a lot of complexity and breadth
- Uphold a high standard and enhance our internal guidelines for style, maintainability, and high-level web environment best practices
- Work on code review, uphold, and promote these principles
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
- Demonstrable experience working with Python, Scala, and SQL
- Familiarity with Git Hub, Spark, and Databricks is desirable
- Some understanding of Data warehousing is nice to have
- Prior experience working in the financial services industry
- Fluent in spoken and written English communication skills
