Front‑End Developer I Overview

The Front‑End Developer I is primarily responsible for user support for the Application Development Team’s front‑end user interfaces and client‑side code. This is the entry position in the job family.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provides technical support assistance and training for end users and troubleshoots issues related to user interfaces and client‑side code in use by LSI and our customers.
  • Provides technical support for LSI proprietary scripting language and courseware development.
  • Performs testing on new user interface layouts and features for all LSI courseware projects.
  • Documents testing results.
  • Troubleshoots and debugs ADT‑developed front‑end scripts.
  • Must be capable of safely handling government‑furnished equipment and materials.
  • Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Non‑Essential Job Functions
  • Under close supervision, assists other Front‑End Developers by performing tasks related to front‑end development.
Job Requirements

Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is preferred. Significant experience may be accepted in lieu of degree requirement.
  • To be considered a Front‑End Developer, I must present a portfolio showing their involvement in three web applications, regardless of technologies used.
  • Portfolio must contain at least three web applications where the applicant was a contributing member of the development team. The applicant must describe their role on each project and how their contribution added value to each project. To meet this requirement, the applicant’s contribution must be in a front‑end development role.
