Title:
Java Backend Engineer
Location:
Phoenix, AZ - onsite
Duration: 6 months
Pay Range: $40 - $45/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Kotlin
- Strong experience building RESTful APIs
- Thorough understanding of JSON, Web Services, and data structures
- Experience with distributed/multi-tier systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Strong Object-Oriented Design (OOD/OOP) and coding experience
- Knowledge of Agentic AI
- Understanding of code quality standards and Git branching strategies
- Experience with SQL and No
SQL databases, including:- Oracle / DB2
- Cassandra / Couchbase
- Knowledge of automated testing using:
- Selenium
- REST Assured
- Cucumber
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including:
- Jenkins
- Nexus
- Maven
- Git
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA/Rally
- Strong understanding of software testing standards, methods, and conventions
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design scalable solutions
- Optimize backend applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment automation
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions
- Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to improve productivity
- Collaborate with Dev Ops teams for cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Work with frontend teams to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration.
