Management Trainee

Job Overview

As a Management Trainee, you will participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program. This is an entry‑level training position and consists of an intensive 16‑week training program designed to prepare you for your initial leadership/supervisory role in operations. Under the direction of a mentor, your primary responsibility is to learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross‑dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship‑building skills.

Upon completion of the trainee program, relocation to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations will be required.

• Complete the leadership training program, which requires guided and independent study.
• Interface with appropriate Support Center and Service Center associates in the completion of various aspects of the training program daily.
• Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
• Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to gain an understanding of the freight delivery process on occasion.

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or alternatively, have at least two years of related work experience.
• Maintain an acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening abilities, and maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
• Possess basic computer skills and a very strong work ethic.
• Be flexible and ready to relocate as needed.

Average Annual Starting Pay: $50,000-$60,000.
