The Shipping Logistics Clerk is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the efficient transportation of goods to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This role involves preparing and processing shipping documentation, managing inventory levels, scheduling shipments, and tracking orders. The clerk also serves as a key point of contact between carriers, freight companies, and customers, addressing any shipping-related issues and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and process shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
Schedule shipments and coordinate with freight carriers to ensure on‑time delivery.
Track orders and monitor shipment progress to quickly resolve delays or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, shipping logs, and related reports.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and customers to address shipping concerns and provide updates.
Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and reduce shipping costs.
