Salary Range: $16.00 To $17.00 Hourly

The Transit Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the shuttle service, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for staff and passengers. This role manages a team of shuttle drivers, coordinates dispatch, and maintains the shuttle fleet, playing a key part in delivering a smooth and positive transportation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Management: Lead, schedule, and support a team of shuttle drivers, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Scheduling and Dispatch: Coordinate with dispatch to ensure consistent shuttle coverage during all operational hours.
• Training and Compliance: Onboard and train new drivers; ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and DOT/transportation regulations.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee routine inspections, cleanliness, and safety of all shuttle vehicles; coordinate repairs as needed.
• Customer Service: Respond to passenger and client inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Safety Management: Conduct regular safety audits and enforce compliance with all safety protocols.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of schedules, maintenance logs, and incident reports using Elite's suite of shuttle applications.
• Driving: Operate shuttle routes as needed to cover gaps or peak demand.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Several years of experience as a shuttle driver or in a similar transportation role; minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Licenses: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Familiarity with transportation safety regulations and policies.
• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while driving; occasional lifting/loading of passenger items.
