Pickett Trucking & Logistics is a third-party logistics agent of Great Wide American Trans-Freight that has been in the industry since 2014. Pickett Logistics believes communication builds thriving relationships and gives our customers the information they need to contribute to the success of their business. There is no such thing as over communicating in the 3PL world to keep the business moving.
Job summary:The primary duty of the Carrier Sales Representative is to develop relationships with prospective carriers to generate repeat sales and maximize Pickett Logistics margins. Essential Functions of the Job:
- Generate new carrier base via load boards, networking, and cold calling
- Negotiate contract and spot market lanes with carriers
- Communicate shipment specific details directly to carrier and driver via various methods
- Work closely with ops team to ensure that customer expectations and delivery requirements are met
- Complete accurate and timely scheduling and dispatching of trucks to ensure that the flow of product in and out meets customer demands.
- Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided regarding any shipment (Track & Trace)
