Position: Non-CDL Driver- FT Jacksonville

Non-CDL Driver

Goodwill Non-CDL Truck Drivers operating various straight trucks, box trucks, and other commercial motor vehicles are responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient transportation of goods, materials, and equipment across designated local and regional routes. This role ensures timely pickups and deliveries to stores, donation centers, and operational facilities while maintaining strict adherence to Goodwill policies and high standards of customer service.

Drivers perform all required loading, unloading, equipment handling, documentation, and vehicle inspections to support Goodwill's mission and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred

Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of verifiable commercial driving history.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration
- Must hold a valid Florida Class E Driver's License (GVWR under 26,001lbs). Must be 21 years of age or older.

Other
- Must be capable of working independently without constant supervision. Must be able to work on unforgiving surfaces such as concrete, wood and metal and sometimes on slippery and wet surfaces as may be necessary in loading, handling, securing unloading and delivering freight. Must meet all the qualification requirements for operation of a motor vehicle as stated by US Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Job Duties

Commercial Vehicle Operation — Safely operate straight trucks, box trucks, and commercial combinations across urban and rural routes, in all weather and road conditions, while complying with federal, state, and local transportation laws.

Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections — Conduct thorough inspections of assigned equipment; identify, document, and report maintenance issues promptly.

Cargo Handling & Securement — Safely load, unload, and secure freight using liftgates, pallet jacks, and mechanical aids; lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly as required.

Incident & Violation Reporting — Report accidents, incidents, and moving violations immediately and interact professionally with law enforcement or public safety officials when required.

Customer & Donor Interaction — Provide courteous, professional service to donors, store & donation center teams, and others during pickups and deliveries.

Operational Productivity — Maintain route schedules, meet service timelines, and perform duties efficiently to support Goodwill's operational goals.

Environmental & Physical Conditions — Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
