Shift HoursDay shift 7:00am – 3:30pm.
Responsibilities- Perform all mailroom duties such as verifying bills of lading, customs paperwork, verifying packing lists, and preparing outbound orders.
- Handle functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, cleaning, transporting, storing, product destruction, and delivery in accordance with departmental procedures, work instructions, and guidance documents.
- Communicate effectively and engage with co‑workers and customers, providing quality customer service with internal customers.
- Daily verify the hopper to ensure all orders are completed on time.
- Interact with other distribution operators to direct activities as required to meet desired process outcomes for the assigned process.
- Monitor, track and report on assigned processes within the operation to both the management team and distribution operators as required.
- Complete all required documentation for pallet shipments.
- Communicate any shortages or missing shipments to warehouse pickers and PPC to ensure all shipments are received in a timely manner.
- Collect all UPS, FEDEX and other customer orders from the CHUTES area once the shipment pallet is complete.
- Operate basic manual or powered material handling equipment.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Maintain appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security.
- Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Ensure customers’ special requests are carried out and investigate problems and/or discrepancies.
- Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
- Help cover absent team members’ routines as determined by supervisors to balance out staffing shortages and maintain steady availability of staff.
- Maintain training on departmental procedures, policies, GMPs, and follow all safety, security and environment guidelines.
- Complete special projects, duties, or assignments appropriately.
- Maintain warehouse and support areas in an outstanding housekeeping state.
- May also require certification for material handling equipment.
- Must be dependable and punctual in attendance.
High school or G.E.D. degree; minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Activity LevelRegularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50pounds unassisted; must be able to carry and climb a ladder; must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least two hours straight, four times in a twelve‑hour day);
must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch frequently; must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
