Job Description
Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating day‑to‑day operational activities within the department team. The duties and responsibilities of a lead can vary depending on company needs, size, and organizational structure. May be responsible for multiple short‑term and long‑term projects, so the ability to prioritize and maintain organization is required. Reports directly to the operations manager.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises a team of employees within a particular operational area.
- Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Streamline workflows, standardize procedures, and introduce new tools or technologies.
- Resolve day‑to‑day operational issues that arise within the department or team.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assess the performance of the team against established metrics, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing development opportunities for existing team members.
- Ensure that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Communicate important information to the team and serve as a point of contact for operational issues or inquiries.
- Conduct regular audits or inspections and take corrective actions to address deviations from quality requirements.

Qualifications:
- Analytical skills to identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions to address them promptly.
Job Competency / Qualifications Education / Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
Technical Requirements:
- Technical skills and knowledge in Warehouse, Logistics, Operations, and Fulfillment.
Experience:
- At least two (2) years of related work experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or logistics required.
