Forklift Operator

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Jacksonville, FL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay $17.39 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  First Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

• Perform warehouse function, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and personal vehicle; travel within area 25–50% of day.
• Strong technical aptitude, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS system.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, and up to 35 lbs with equipment.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts.
• Valid forklift operator’s license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and maintain a good attendance record.
• High accuracy even under pressure, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs, and use health and safety methods.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
