1st Shift Warehouse Inventory Specialist

SUMMARY Responsible for overseeing the ordering, storing, receiving, and distribution processes of an organization’s products and supplies. Controlling the flow of supplies and equipment, tracking and analyzing inventory and developing protocols for loss mitigation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Other duties may be assigned.

Participate in reviewing potential vendors and selecting ones that best meet the needs of the company in terms of cost, quality, productivity, reliability, etc.

Oversee inventory and order additional products and supplies when needed, setting appropriate min/max levels on reorders.

Maintain and update inventory records using inventory management software.

Perform regular physical inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.

Coordinate with sales and production departments to forecast future inventory needs.

Implement effective inventory control methods and procedures.

Identify and dispose of obsolete or damaged inventory in accordance with company policies.

Prepare detailed reports in inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent. College Degree preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of two years previous work experience is preferred.

Basic Microsoft Office skills including Word, Outlook and Excel.

Reliable automobile transportation.

An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
