Position Overview IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to perform sentence calculations, Earned Program Sentence Credits and Earned Discretionary Sentence Credits. In addition, this position will prepare, distribute, and maintain correspondence, memorandums, logs and informational packets, review individual in custody disciplinary results and input into O360, compose and keyboard correspondence to outside entities, maintain master files, review subpoenas and process the release of clinical records and answer phone calls received in the Record Office.

  • Performs complex sentence calculations for revocation and/or restoration of Good Conduct Credits, Earned Program Sentence Credits and Earned Discretionary Sentence Credits as required by administrative directives.
  • Prepares, distributes, and maintains correspondence, memorandums, logs and informational packets.
  • Reviews individuals in custody disciplinary results and inputs into O360 as indicated by the Adjustment Committee.
  • Composes and keyboards correspondence to outside agencies.
  • Maintains individuals in custody master files ensuring filing is accurate/timely.
  • Reviews subpoenas and processes the release of clinical records pursuant to applicable directives.
  • Answers phone calls received in the Record Office.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately 45 words per minute.
