Position: Production Manager (JXE)

Overview

Join Reynolds Consumer Products as a Production Manager at our Jacksonville, IL facility. The role focuses on ensuring safe, high‑quality, cost‑effective manufacturing while managing a diverse team of over 200 employees.

Responsibilities

The Production Manager is responsible for the operation of manufacturing equipment and supporting functions to ensure all products are manufactured safely, at high quality, and cost effectively. This role manages a team of 200+ employees, develops systems, and allocates resources to meet established goals while maintaining a safe work environment and high‑quality standards.

EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety):

  • Understand, promote, assist, and adhere to all EHS principles and be accountable to conform to them at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with the EHS policies and support the facility EHS plans.
  • In locations where applicable, comply with GFSI practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging and report food safety problems to appropriate authorities.

Quality:

  • Monitor internal quality and customer complaint rates and trends, initiating corrective action to minimize quality issues.
  • Interface with PET and Marketing to ensure new product launches succeed and specifications are clear and correct.
  • Ensure quality systems are followed throughout the manufacturing operation.

Productivity:

  • Maintain an effective workforce through hiring, training, and coaching, aligning actions with best practices and policies.
  • Set departmental goals and objectives, analyze results, and initiate actions to maximize outputs.
  • Maintain timely and accurate reports on critical manufacturing outcomes such as efficiency, downtime, and cost.
  • Provide feedback on plant performance, issues, and equipment utilization to all levels within the organization.
  • Support the Lean Manufacturing philosophy and use Lean tools such as quick changeover (SMED), SWIS, TPM, etc.
Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • BS/BA in Industrial Management, Engineering or Business.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or supervisory experience.
  • Prior team management experience with a proven record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse staff.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities and the capacity to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Self‑directed with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple accountabilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Solid project management capabilities, managing multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Team‑oriented with a willingness to collaborate and perform in high‑performance teams.

Icing on the cake:

  • LEAN experience preferred.
  • Prior team management experience with a proven record of coaching and mentoring a diverse staff.

Posted Salary Range

Bonus Eligibility

Role is eligible for 10% annual incentive provided the business meets financial goals and the individual meets performance goals, subject to plan administration guidelines.
